Peter Goldring Takes Part In International Remembrance Day Event

November 10, 2009
Edmonton – Canadian troops serving in Afghanistan are linking with Canadian students across the country for a special Trans-Canada Remembrance Day ceremony today and Peter Goldring, Member of Parliament for Edmonton East, will be taking part, speaking at Edmonton’s Queen Elizabeth High School, 9425-132 Ave.

This ceremony will link schools in Ottawa, Sydenham, ON, La Tuque QC, Onoway AB  and Edmonton by video conference with Canadian troops serving in Afghanistan. Mr. Goldring will be speaking and laying a wreath.

“This is a good opportunity for students to interact with our troops,” Mr. Goldring says. “And it also lets our soldiers know they are not forgotten by the people of Canada, especially the young people.”
